Residents of The Summit nursing home at Blue Mountain Health System took some time to bake cookies for the holidays.

The residents, all wearing plastic gloves, mixed the cookie dough by hand and then placed them on cookie sheets. The cookies were then baked by Elders of the Latter Day Saints Church, Cory Cardwell and Addison Jefpesen.

Some of the 300 plus cookies baked over two days will be given out as snacks or as bingo prizes for the residents during the Christmas holidays.

The residents, whose diets don't allow them to eat cookies, didn't seem to mind that they couldn't taste as they said the smell of the baking cookies was worth it.
