Salem St. Paul's Lutheran Church

Thursday, Dec. 24 is the Nativity of our Lord (Christmsas Eve) Services at 4:30, 7, and 10 p.m. with carols, communion and candlelighting

Sunday, Dec. 27 there is no early service. At 9 a.m. is their joint Sunday School and at the 10:30 a.m. worship there will be Christmas carols.

Polk Office and Recycle Center

The Polk Township Office and Recycle Center will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 26, due to the memorial service of the late Supervisor H. Lee Everett. All residents who utilize the solid waste and recycle center on Saturdays should come on Monday, Dec. 28, or Wednesday, Dec. 30 to use the facilities.

Birthday wishes

Happy Birthday to Gingee Anglemyer on Dec. 24 and Clarence Hawk who will be 65 on Dec. 27.

Our condolences go to the H. Lee Everett family who died on Dec. 20 at The Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia after a brief illness. He was a long-time public servant and a Polk Township Supervisor.
