Driver is cited after accident

Brenda L. Kelly, 40, of Marysville, Pa., was cited by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks for failure to drive on roadways laned for traffic after a one-car mishap Saturday at 8:45 p.m. on Rt. 25 in Hegins Township.

Police said she was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and strike a utility pole. The vehicle then traveled northeast through the eastbound and westboud lanes of travel and came to rest facing northeast along the north berm.

The driver was uninnjured.
