LCCC to offer nurse aide job training
Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer Nurse Aide Diploma program at either one of its sites in Allentown or Nesquehoning. Prior to registering, students must attend an orientation session.
Nurse Aide Training Diploma is an intensive program, designed to prepare the student to take the PA State Certification exam and earn a Nurse Aide Diploma. Students will develop an understanding of the legal and ethical standards of healthcare giving, study patients' rights and learn to promote their independence, understand infection control and review knowledge of medical terminology and the human body as they gain hands-on practice at a long-term care facility.
Tuition assistance may be available for qualified students.
LCCC's Donley Center in Allentown will hold a daytime Nurse Aide Training Diploma program, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Orientation is held Tuesdays at 1 p.m. Course number is HEA 702.
