Man is facing assault charge
Matthew Walter Herring, 37, of Pine Grove, has been cited by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks with simple assault.
Police said the charge stems from an incident on Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at 908 Long Run Road, Wayne Township.
The victim is Renee Mae Herring, 45, Pine Grove.
Police said the victim and the accused got into a verbal argument that resulted in the accused physically assaulting the victim.
