Two hurt in Penn Forest crash

Two Philadelphia men were injured in a car crash on Route 534 in Penn Forest Township Tuesday.

Tetswro Murakami, 22, and Daichi Sakagami, 20, were passengers in a 2010 Ford Focus driven by Shinji Kageyama, 22, also of Philadelphia. Kageyama was driving west by the Monroe/Carbon County line when he lost control of the car as he rounded a left curve. The Focus hit a guardrail on the north side of the highway with the right front passenger side.

Murakami and Sakagami were taken by Lehighton Ambulance to Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.

Two other passengers, Kota Tsuyoshi, 21, and Kotaro Wada, 23, also of Philadelphia, were unhurt, according to a report from state police at Fern Ridge.
