Burglary probed in Monroe

A burglary at a Monroe County home is being probed by Lehighton State Police.

The incident occurred at 7037 Evergreen Court, Ross Township sometime between 3 p.m., Dec. 17 and noon, Dec. 23.

According to police, sometime during the above days, unknown actor(s) entered Edward E. Helm's residence by smashing the rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the actor removed several bottles of liquor from the bar area of the basement. The actor then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The total cost of property taken is estimated at $300.
