House fire ends in severe damages

A summer home at 7876 Country Place Drive South, Coolbaugh Township, resulted in severe damages on Dec. 23.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said personnel from the township's fire department extinguished the blaze that was reported at 2:36 a.m., but not before the damage occurred. Police said flames were observed coming from the first and second floor windows when firemen arrived.

No one was residing in the home at the time. The cause is unknown and still being investigated, police said.
