Brooklyn man cited on charges

Published January 01. 2010 05:00PM

Pocono Mountain Regional Police report the arrest of Roy Gomez, 31, of Brooklyn, N.Y., on a charge of access device fraud, a third degree felony, as a result of his alleged misuse of a credit card owned by an Albrightsville man.

Police said Jerome Kaplan, the victim, reported the incident to them in October. Police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Gomez, who turned himself into authorities on Dec. 22.

The man was temporarily committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, awaiting arraignment.

Police said the fraus stems from an unauthorized $3,500 credit card charge that took place in August.
