Conservation club

The Nesquehoning Conservation Club will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at MapleShade Meadows. Installation of officers will take place.

Planning for the upcoming fishing derby and youth pheasant hunt next fall will start this month. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Don McGorry or Greg Pecha.

NCFC auxiliary

Members of the New Columbus Fire Company will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. at the fire company. Gerry McConnon, president, will conduct the meeting.

Serving on the hospitality committee will be Ursula Digiglio, Lucille Hosier, and Sissy McGorry. The hoagie papers should be turned in at this meeting.

The meeting will be held if the weather is favorable.
