Power interrupted after accident

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of State Route 895 and Stony Lane in South Manheim Township.

Police said an unknown vehicle struck a utility pole and then a guide wire attached to the next utility pole, resulting in the loss of power in that area for about an hour.

The vehicle left the scene. It is possibly a black/red pickup truck or SUV with damage to its right side.
