Deem family reunites
The ninth annual Deem family Christmas luncheon was held recently at Knepper's Inn in New Ringgold.
The 22 people attending were from Muncy, New Hope, Hatboro, Waynesboro, Ephrata, Tamaqua and New Ringgold.
Original Deem family members attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Deem and Phyllis Hoppes and children. Good food and fellowship were enjoyed by all.
Calvary Evangelical
Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church, Catawissa and Valley Roads, Lewistown Valley, will hold its morning worship service for Sunday, Jan. 3 at 9:15 a.m. The Rev. Brian Reading, pastor, will deliver a sermon titled, "Be It Resolved," with insights and challenges for the beginning of the new year. Special music will be presented by Andrew Gerber.
Sunday School for all ages will be held at 9:15 a.m. Evening Praise and Bible Study will be held at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
On Wednesday, Jan. 6, Prayer and Share will be held at 7 p.m.
