Tannersville man charged with DUI

Jahaziel Rodriguez, 22, of Tannersville, has been charged by Pocono Mountain regional Police with driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic accident on Monday at 7:03 p.m. on Route 940 in Mount Pocono.

Police said they responded to the accident and found a Ford Explorer had traveled off the roadway and landed in the woods. Police said Rodriguez, who had been driving the vehicle, was standing along side the roadway and stated he was unhurt. Police said he showed signs of intoxication and was given field sobriety tests that he failed. he was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.
