Rick Bashore showed love for veterans

Dear Editor:

This is such a sad time for all the Wounded Warriors Rick Bashore helped.

Aside from everything else he did, Rick gave them the support and friendship and honor that they so well deserve. The love, compassion, and pride he held for these vets was very evident and he will be greatly missed.

Rick can never be replaced, but I truly hope someone steps up to keep his programs going. It's a tasking developed out of need but implemented out of love. What Rick had was a rare gift. A gift he shared with those who needed him most. Please give his friends and family my deepest condolences.
