Bob and Anne Derlunas of Lake Hauto have announced the engagement of their son, Brian Derlunas, to Emily Kieffer, daughter of Bob and Linda Kieffer of Crystal Lake, Ill.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Northampton Community College, where he earned a degree in mortuary science.
He is currently employed as a funeral director in northern Virginia.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Arizona, earning a degree in personal communications.
She is employed in the background screening field in northern Virginia.
The couple resides in Springfield, Va., and is planning an Oct. 16, 2010 wedding in St. Francis Xavier Church, Gettysburg.
