Joseph Dougherty III and Alicia Oertner
Mr. and Mrs. Conroy Oertner of Tamaqua, announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Oertner of New Ringgold, to Joseph Dougherty III, also of New Ringgold.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Scranton, where she graduated magna cum laude with a master of science degree in occupational therapy and a minor in psychology. She is employed as an occupational therapist at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson, with outpatient pediatrics and inpatient adult rehabilitation.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Joseph and Laureen Dougherty of Eynon, Pa. He graduated from the University of Scranton, where he received a bachelor of science degree in management. He is pursuing a degree in physical therapy from Penn State University.
A May 8, 2010 wedding is planned.
