Drunkenness leads to citations
Summit Hill police have been busy with the consequences of bad tempers and alcohol abuse.
Jeremy Honushefsky, 25, of 715 W. Market St., Mahanoy City, was for disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness on Oct. 24 after police were called to 128 W. Hazard St. at 7:27 a.m. and learned that he had allegedly assaulted an individual there. While they were on scene, he continued to be disruptive and was observed to be under the influence of alcohol.
James Hollar, 32, of 133 E. Holland St., Summit Hill, was cited for public drunkenness at 11:54 p.m. Oct. 22 after police, who were in the vicinity of Ludlow and Market streets saw an individual lying on the ground. That individual was Hollar, who was found to be highly intoxicated.
Thomas Scherer, 29, of 808 Princeton Ave., Palmerton, was cited with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of careless driving. On Sept 26, at 12:12 a.m., police received a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically and in a careless manner, attempting to pass vehicles in no passing zones. The vehicle, allegedly driven by Scherer, was observed by police. Scherer was taken for a blood test and charges were subsequently filed.
Crystal Kreimendahl, 23, of 324 E. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, faces a charge of public drunkenness after police saw her staggering along Route 902 (White Bear Hill) on Nov. 1 at 1 a.m. She was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was cited.
Frank Miller, 33, of 122 E. Holland St., Summit hill, was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment. On Nov. 1, at 1:48 a.m. police were called to the address for an assault. They learned Miller allegedly assaulted a female there. Miller was arraigned and jailed. The amount of bail was not immediately available.
On Oct. 26 at 3:51 p.m., police received a report of a juvenile assaulting another juvenile in the area of Hazard and Market streets. They learned that a 12-year-old Summit Hill boy had allegedly an 11-year-old boy. The 12-year-old was cited for harassment.
