Palmerton man facing DUI charge

Thomas Scherer, 29, of 808 Princeton Ave., Palmerton, is facing driving under the influence of alcohol charges as a result of a traffic stop made by Slatington police on Wednesday.

Police said the man was halted at 12:02 a.m. at the intersection of Main and West Church streets.
