N.Y. man injured in Monroe crash

Marcio O. Silva, 28, of New Yor, N.Y., was injured in a one-vehicle crash Oct. 24 at 4:17 a.m. on Rt. 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks. Police said he sustained minor injuries.

Police said he was driving a 2000 Honda CRV when he fell asleep. The car struck a wall and a tree before coming to rest.

Police said he will be cited for violating regulations relating to roadways laned for traffic.
