ESU bands salute veterans on Sunday

The East Stroudsburg University bands will present a Salute to Veterans at a band-o-rama Sunday, Nov. 15, 7 p.m., in the Smith-McFarland Theater, Fine and Performing Arts Center, ESU.

Featured works that will highlight the theme include "Hymn to the Fallen" by John Williams and the "U.S. Field Artillery March" by JP Sousa performed by the University-Community Concert band.

The Warrior Marching Band and color guard's Salute to the Armed Forces will feature songs of all five branches of the military. The Woodwind Ensemble will perform music from the HBO series "Band of Brothers." As a change of pace the Jazz Ensemble will present Big Band selections.

The performance is open to the public at no cost, however, the presentation is a fundraiser and donations will be accepted.
