Two persons were injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 12:36 a.m. today along Seltzer Road in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Marc A. Greenaway, 22, of New Philadelphia, was driving a 2006 Mazda MX6 westbound when, for unknown reasons, the car went onto the right shoulder.

Greenaway tried to correct the vehicle's travel and it then crossed both lanes and struck a guide rail along the east shoulder.

The car traveled along the rail while spinning counter-clockwise.

It then left the road and few about 39-feet across the eastbound lane and slid westbound about 45 feet across both lanes a second time. The car then came to rest in the westbound lane.

Greenaway and passenger Quenton J. Newton, 26, of Minersville, were slightly injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center East, Pottsville.

Another passenger, Richard D. Romberger, 22, of Schuylkill Haven, was not injured.

Troopers cited Greenaway for traveling on roadways laned for traffic.
