Woman's body found along Schuylkill road

A woman's body was found along a Schuylkill County road on Saturday morning.

The body was found about 10:08 a.m. along the Burma Road, near Fire Tower Road in Blythe Township. The road runs from St. Clair north eventually to SR54 near Mahanoy City.

The body was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South, Pottsville, where an autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.

State police at Frackville are investigating and have not released any information concerning the incident.
