Theft on game lands is probed

A theft incident on state game lands is being probed. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred on the Swatara Game Lands in Pine Grove Township.

Troopers said unknown persons entered the area and took two Cabelas 12-foot ladder stands that were attached to a tree off Swopes Valley Road.

The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 2 and Monday, Nov. 9. The ladders belong to Garry Evan Gross, 48, of Pine Grove.

Troopers are also investigating a criminal mischief incident. Unknown persons poured a milkshake on the 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier of Amber Lowthert, 19, of Schuylkill Haven. The car was parked along E. Grand Ave. (SR209), in Porter Township. The incident occurred sometime between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8.
