Burglary, theft incidents probed
State police at Fern Ridge reported on a burglary and theft incidents probed by troopers in recent days.
The burglary occurred at the residence of Jose Victoria, 45 Bunny Blvd., Effort, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Entry was gained by smashing a rear sliding glass door. Once inside the criminals stole a pearl necklace from an upstairs bedroom. The incident occurred sometime between 5 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6.
Troopers said several street signs belonging to the Penn Forest Streams Property Owners Association Inc., in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, were stolen sometime between Nov. 6 to 9. The signs are valued at $225.
A license plate was removed from a 2004 Chevrolet Astrovan parked at Mott's Radiator and Repair, SR715 near Center Rd., in Jackson Township, Monroe County, sometime between Nov. 4 and 9. The plate number is YBH1854.
A trailer containing two Ski Doo snowmobiles was stolen from a yard along Pine Tree Road in the Indian Mountain Lakes development in Penn Forest Township, sometime between 10 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, and 7 a.m. on Monday. The trailer belongs to an Albrightsville resident, not identified by troopers.
Four shelving units were taken from the Kettle Hill Building along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, sometime between Saturday, Nov. 7, at noon and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
