Food pantry

The Lansford Food Pantry will be held on Nov. 16 atSt.Katherine of Drexel's Church Gymnasium from 9:30-11 a.m. The pantry is a nonprofit organization that serves the residents of Lansford on the third Monday of every month.

Anyone wishing to make a monetary or food donation may contact Betty Pearson at (570) 645-3416 or Beth Dailey (570) 657-7234.

AMVETS meeting

Lansford AMVETS Post 83 will meet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the post home. All members are asked to attend. This is not a reorganizational meeting but a general membership meeting to discuss all matters.

C.H.O.S.E. meeting

The C.H.O.S.E. Recreational Organization will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at President Krapf's home in Coaldale.

Plans will be made for the annual Christmas tree lighting event and visit from Santa at the Coaldale Borough Hall.

C.H.O.S.E. needs and welcomes new members.
