Schuylkill man dies in ATV accident

A Schuylkill County resident was killed when the all terrain vehicle (ATV) he was operating collided head-on into a tree.

State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, off Moss Glen Road (SR1011), a mile north of SR209 in Schuylkill Township.

Troopers said Jason Liddick, 26, of St. Clair, was driving a Honda 400EX four-wheeler southbound when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the road. The ATV went onto the east berm and struck a tree head-on.

Liddick was pronounced dead at the scene by county deputy coroner John Harley Sr.

Assisting troopers at the scene were Tamaqua EMS unit, MaryD, Ryan and Schuylkill townships fire companies.
