Published November 16. 2009 05:00PM

A pickup truck landed in a yard in Schuylkill County early Saturday morning. State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the crash and also a hit-and-- run mishap.

Troopers said Brandon M. Zimmerman, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2007 Ford F150 truck westbound on Mexico Road, east of SR501, in Pine Grove Township, about 1:15 a.m. While negotiating a left curve Zimmerman, for unknown reasons, drove the vehicle onto the berm. He attempted to drive back onto the road but was unable to keep control and the front right tire came off. The truck then rolled over, landing on its roof in the middle of the yard of Craig R. Umbenhauer. The tire rolled and struck the Umbenhauer home.

Zimmerman and his passenger, Abby M. Skripko, also of Pine Grove, both sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Damages were disabling to the truck.

Troopers said Zimmerman will be cited.

The hit and run was reported on Friday, Nov. 13, about 11:15 a.m. in the Rockwood Center parking lot located off SR61 in North Manheim Township. A parked 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, owned by Roseann M. Birster, 57, of Ashland, was struck by another vehicle, whose driver fled the scene. Damages were to the passenger side rear quarter panel.
