Shooting incident at post office

State police at Lehighton are investigating a shooting incident at an area post office.

Troopers said unknown persons fired three shots at the Saylorsburg Post Office, located at the intersection of SR115 and Anchorage Rd., in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said two windows were damaged by the .22 caliber rounds fired.

No one was in the post office when the incident occurred, about 4:32 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The suspect vehicle is described as being a dark-colored royal blue Mercedes-Benz sedan, late 1970s early 1980s model.
