Carbon Co. Democrats for Change welcomes Dr. Roy Christman
Who were the Pilgrims and why did they come to America?
Dr. Roy Christman of Lehighton will answer these questions when he gives his presentation, "Pilgrims - America's First Socialists" at the next meeting of the Carbon County Democrats for Change held on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. It will take place at the Inn at Jim Thorpe located at 24 Broadway.
The group, whose goals include supporting progressive legislation and candidates at the national, state, and local level, welcomes all visitors. Meetings take place the fourth Tuesday of each month.
The December holiday meeting will be a dinner and social event held at Pepper Jack's Restaurant, 41 Broadway in Jim Thorpe on December 22 beginning at 6 p.m. RSVPs are needed by Dec. 15, so please email President Linda Christman at lachris@ptd.net for more information or if you plan to attend.
