November 20, 1998 Brian DeGiosio carries 35 times for 190 yards and three touchdowns and also catches a scoring pass to help lead Panther Valley to a 34-24 victory over Muncy to claim the Eastern Conference Division I championship. DeGiosio reaches the end zone on runs of 1, 22 and 15 yards and also hauls in a 31-yard TD toss from Justin Porembo. The Panthers, coached by Rick Bennett, also receive a touchdown run from Steve Sommers, who finishes the contest with 99 yards rushing. Porembo ends 8-of-13 for 149 yards passing.
