Monroe tavern cited by PLCB

A Monroe County tavern has been cited by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board's Wilkes-Barre enforcement office.

Tabs Entertainment Inc., trading as Tabs Tavern and Inn, SR196, Box 419, Sterling Road, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, was cited for issued checks or drafts, in payment for purchases of malt or brewed beverages, when the tavern had insufficient funds in, or credit with, the institution upon which drawn for the payment of such checks.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
