Speeding stop leads to DUI arrest

A speeding stop in Schuylkill County led to the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Raymond Scott Moyer III, 37, of 426 E. Deerview Drive, Auburn, was stopped about 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, along SR183 at Reedsville Road, in Wayne Township, for going 75 miles-per-hour in a 50 zone.

At the stop Moyer was found to be under the influence and was transported to the barracks for a breath test. The test revealed he was over the legal limit of .08 percent.

Moyer will be charged before District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, troopers said.
