Writer's network
The Black Diamond Writers' network will meet Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St. Guest speaker will be Rick Grant. His topic will be social media outlets and their value to writers.
This will be a joint meeting with the Pennsylvania Women's Press Association.
The public is welcome to attend.

Calvary Methodist
The Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. service of Thanksgiving this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school for all ages will be held at 9:15 a.m.
Also on Sunday, the annual Thanksgiving End Harvest service will be celebrated, in an old-fashioned mood, at 6:30 p.m. Members are reminded to bring a food item and a light source, such as a candle/flashlight.
The Sunday School's annual Christmas program will be presented on Dec. 13, at 10:25 a.m. This will be followed by a fellowship dinner/party. For further information, call (570) 668-3359 or 668-4459.
Trinity UCC
The Rev. Dr. David Grant will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service this Christ the King Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ. The service will include words for young Christians. Nursery care is available during the service. Sunday school classes will meet at 8:45 a.m.
The Community Thanksgiving Eve service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Trinity UCC. The public is welcome to attend.
Schuylkill Democrats
The Eastern Schuylkill Democrats will meet on Monday, at 7:30 p.m., at the East End Fire Company.
