November 21, 1980 Craig Scheffler catches a pair of long TD passes from John Bolton as Slatington rolls to a 34-0 Centennial League win over Palmerton. The combination of Bolton-to-Scheffler hooks up for the game's first score an 83-yard scoring toss. The two later connect for a 45-yarder. The Bulldogs, coached by Dick Snell, also receive touchdown runs from Butch Rauch, Chub Farber and Dale Beck. Bolton finishes 7-of-13 for 189 yards while Scheffler is on the receiving end of 159 of those yards.
