Marian HS students attend Marywood Business Day

On Thursday, Nov. 12, two Marian students, Justin Huegel (left) of Tamaqua and Daniel Lisella of Jim Thorpe attended the International Business Immersion Day at Marywood University, Scranton. Marywood University's admission Office and the Department of Foreign Languages and Business sponsored this program. The program was offered to any foreign language student who is interested in international business. Huegel and Lisella are enrolled in Spanish IV at Marian, a rigorous course where students can earn college credits through Lehigh Carbon Community College. The Immersion Day at Marywood included six scheduled conversational and musical activities where the students were able to showcase their foreign language skills. The day concluded with the students participating in a segment of "Dancing with the Stars," where the students learned various Latin dances.
