November 23, 1972 Slatington's defense intercepts three passes, holds Palmerton to minus rushing yards, and posts a shutout in their annual Thanksgiving Day game. Steve Hluschak and Scott Smith account for the two Bulldog touchdowns in claiming a 14-0 victory. Brian Kistler and Barry Oswald stop Bomber drives with their interceptions while Todd Freed's pick sets up one of Slatington's scores. Hluschak hits paydirt on a six-yard run while Smith hauls in an eight-yard scoring strike from Mike Hunsicker.
