Taylor Trapp is Slatington Woman's Club November Girl of the Month

Taylor Elizabeth Trapp, a senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School has been selected as the Slatington Woman's Club Girl of the Month for November.

Taylor is a cheerleader and a member of the cross country and track and field teams. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, German American Exchange Program and Bigs and Littles Program

She is the class president, Student Body president and student school board representative.

Taylor takes college courses at DeSales University and is a winner of the DeSales High School Scholar Scholarship. She has received the Principal's List Award, the United States of America Army Future Scientist Award and won a fourth place in the Delaware Valley Regional Science Fair.

She has done her own research of a self-proposed ongoing research project that has now over 500 patients enrolled, concerning the topics of cardiology and one's oral health. It was recently summated for publication with the American College of Cardiology.

Taylor has been chosen as one of the Top Five Presenters at Lehigh Valley Hospital's 2009 Research Day and is the only non-physician speaker.

She volunteers at the Lehigh Valley Hospital and works at American Eagle Outfitters. She enjoys making mission trips to Florida and hanging out with friends.

Taylor plans to attend Drexel University with a major in Biological Sciences (pre-med) and minor in Law and Society. She plans to continue onto medical school to pursue her dream of becoming a cardiologist.

She is the daughter of Curtis and Jane Trapp of Slatington. Her sister, Lauren is attending Cedar Crest College.
