DUI arrests reported in Monroe
State police at Fern Ridge reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests following incidents along Monroe County roadways.
On Friday, Nov. 20, about 7:56 p.m. a crash occurred along Brookmont Drive in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Chris N. Parry, 42, of Effort, was driving a 1983 Chevrolet Camero northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The car went onto the berm and struck a tree with the passenger side. Parry, who was not injured, was found to be under the influence and charges will be filed, troopers said.
On Nov. 17 about 7:53 a.m. Hilal Feliz Kantemir, 30, of Clifton, N.J.., was observed driving erratically along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, while westbound. He was stopped and found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.
