Office closed

The Jim Thorpe Borough office will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. It will reopen on Monday, Nov. 30, at 8:30 p.m. If you have payments that you want to make, please place them in the drop-off box at the office.

Christmas party

Members of the Phoenix Hose Company will hold their Christmas party on Dec. 4, at the company headquarters. Reservations must be made by Nov. 28, by calling (570) 325-425l or (570) 952-1164. A brief meeting will be held at 6:30 that evening, with the party to follow.

Toys for Tots

A Toys for Tots container is located at 22 E. 6th St., if you wish to donate new toys for the annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign.

Registration is being held on the following dates at the Community Thrift Shop, under the Dollar Store in Lehighton, Dec. 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you have any questions, please call Ed Glassic, (570) 325-2408.
