Rear-end type crash in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a rear-end type crash along SR209 at Diamond St., in Branch Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said on Saturday, Nov. 21, about 10:48 a.m. William N. Kern Jr., of Branch Dale, was driving a 2005 Kia Sportage southbound when he began to slowdown for traffic ahead of him. His vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Samantha M. Paulus, of Tower City. No one was injured in the mishap.

Troopers said Paulus was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
