Tamaqua girls soccer seniors

The Tamaqua Area High School girls soccer program was honored at a banquet sponsored by its booster club on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the New England Fire Company. The Lady Raiders finished with a record of 19-2, won the Schuylkill League Division I championship with a perfect 16-0 regular season mark, as well as winning their second straight District 11 Class AA title and qualifying for the PIAA tournament. Senior members of the varsity team include, front row from left, Jackie Stewart, Eden Helfrich, Katie Hummel, Shelby Hankins, Brittany Hill, Sam Digilio, Laura Walser and Jen Wood. Back row, assistant coaches Ken Mateyak, Andy Smarr, head coach Clem McCarroll and assistant coach JoAnn Stewart. Brooke Gursky was also a senior member of the squad.
