Published November 24. 2009 05:00PM

Weissport Police Department made no comments and should not have been quoted in the missing woman story that appeared in the Times News on Saturday.

Sharon Weaver, 55, of Weissport, is missing since Nov. 4, where she was last seen between 6:30 and 7 p.m. at the Boathouse Bar, Canal Road, Franklin Township.

She is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weights approximately 210 lbs. She was wearing a dark gray hooded sweat shirt. Weaver did not have a cell phone and did not carry a purse. Anyone with any information about Weaver's disappearance is asked to call state police at (610) 377-4270

Officer Steve Mansueto said that during the press conference that someone else may have said that vacant building and sheds in Weissport were searched for the missing woman.

Mansueto said that state police are handling the investigation into allegations about Weaver's account being accessed, but that he refrained from making any comments.

Mansueto did not note that a credible witness believes he saw Weaver make a right turn from the Boathouse Bar the night she disappeared.
