Four have probation/parole revoked; are resentenced
Four people who were on probation or parole from criminal charges lost their freedom when judges in Schuylkill County court revoked their probation and parole for violating terms fixed by the court. All were remanded to the county prison.
Rebecca Hart, 35, of 1119 W. Market St., Pottsville, was adjudged by Judge D. Michael Stine to have violated terms of her probation and it was revoked. She was resentenced on a charge of burglary to serve one to three years in a state correctional institution with credit of having served 43 days in the county prison.
Justin Lee Andreas, 27, of 589 Laurel Terrace, Pottsville, had his probation revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes and he was remanded to the county prison to serve out the balance of his sentence with the maximum date extended to March 23, 2010. Andreas was charged with criminal mischief to Pottsville Housing Authority property and was placed on probation. The court ruled it would consider a re-parole after receiving an approved residence and Andreas must undego mental health evaluation.
Colleen Marie Wetherhold, 40, of Hazleton, had her parole revoked by Damalakes and she was committed to the county prison to serve out the balance of her sentence and her maximum date extended to April 19, 2010. Wetherhold was placed on probation for giving her sist'er's name to police when stopped on the highway on a speeding charge.
Sonya A. Powanda, 40, Pottsville, had her parole revoked by Domalakes and 314 days of liberrty taken away and she was remanded to the county prison to serve out her sentence and the maximum date extended to Aug. 23, 2010. She had pleaded guilty to forging ex-husband's checks and theft of coins from a private home. On the theft charge she was resentenced to serve an additional two years on probation.
