Restocking the shelves

Cub Pack 138 of Jim Thorpe collected food recently as part of the national Scouting For Food collection to aid local food pantries. Den 9 Bear Scouts, led by Shawn Bierman, and Den 6 Tiger Scouts, led by Dan Ward, from the Penn Forest Streams and Bear Creek Lakes area of Jim Thorpe donated 769 usable items to the food pantry at Christ Lutheran Church, located on Church Road in Penn Forest Township. Scouts in town collected another 947 items to bring our grand total to over 1,700 items. Overall the troop topped last year's total by about 400 food items.
