2 cited for careless driving, harassment

Two men have been cited by Tamaqua police following an incident that began at the Fegley Mini Mart on Tuesday night.

At 11:45 p.m., officers received a phone call from Jessica Hall, 24, 295 High St., Tamaqua. Ms. Hall said she was in a vehicle with two other people and they were being "chased" by two men in a blue Jeep. Officers told her to drive to the rear of the police station as she was in the vicinity.

According to the information received, the Jeep had two occupants, Michael Orach, 23, of 162 Penn St., Tamaqua, and Ricky Nelson, 32, of 103 N. Lehigh St., Tamaqua. After speaking with all of the parties involved, officers cited Orach for harassment and Nelson for careless driving.
