Open your home to an international exchange student

Published November 27. 2009 05:00PM

Can you open your home to an international exchange student from China or Latin America for the 2010 school year?

P.E.A.C.E., a Christian-based student exchange program designated by the U.S. Department of State is seeking families in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties to host international high school students for six months to a year beginning in January, 2010.

Host families provide room and board. The student's families cover all other expenses.

All students and host families are pre-screened by P.E.A.C.E., the Pro-American Educational and Cultural Exchange program headquartered in New Philadelphia, PA.

"By opening up your home and your hearts to these students, you can make a difference in promoting intercultural understanding in your community and make friends for a lifetime!" said Richard Page, Director of P.E.A.C.E.
