F-150 pickup truck stolen in Monroe

The theft of a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck from a property in Monroe County is under investigation by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The victim is 81-year-old Charles A. VanAuken of Kunkletown Road, Ross Township, Saylorsburg.

Police said sometime between 2 p.m. Nov. 16 and 3 p.m. Tuesday someone went to a locked shed on the victim's property, located a hidden key to the vehicle and proceded to drive it from the scene.

The vehicle is silver in color with a chrome brush guard on the front and also has a silver fiberglass tonneau cover on it. It bears a Florida registration plate No. CVA71.

The truck is valued at $17,000.
