Minor injuries in Schuylkill crash

Minor injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash that occurred about 12:40 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, along SR924, just north of Sheppton in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Zachery Donlin 17, of Zion Grove, was southbound driving a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser when he entered the northbound lane and collied into the driver's side front of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Patricia Flanagan, 42, of Hazleton. After impact the Cruiser spun counter-clockwise and traveled southeast off the road and into a ditch. The Grand Am also traveled off the road and into a ditch after impact.

Flanagan and two passengers, Alexis Flanagan, 8, and Skylar Flanagan, 8, same address as the driver, were all taken to the Hazleton General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Donlin sustained a hand injury but refused medical treatment.

Troopers said Donlin was cited for careless driving. Damages were moderate to both vehicles.
