Monroe man cited for theft incident

A Monroe County man was cited following an incident at INsley Shoprite store in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Anthony Pellegrino, 30, of Kresgeville, allegedly took a 32-inch LCH HD television from the store without paying for it. He was confronted by store employees who asked for a sales slip, which he could not produce. The incident occurred about 5:45-6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27.

Troopers said Pellegrino was also found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. He was cited for retail theft and public drunkenness.
