October 2, 1953 Lansford receives touchdowns from four different players en route to a 24-0 victory over Summit Hill. The Panthers get on the board in the opening quarter when Eddie Chuckran tosses a 16-yard TD pass to Bussy Earley. Bernie Matta doubles the score in the second frame when he hits paydirt from two yards out. The winners put the game away with two scores in the third frame Matta's 26-yard run sets up a one-yard plunge by Fred Tiley while Chuckran tallies on a nine-yard keeper.
